So the first part of the waiting game is now over. The N.29 Batang Ai by-election is fixed on April 7 with the nomination day on March 29, 2009 meaning that it is to be held simultaneously with the two bukits- Bukit Gantang and Bukit Selambau by elections. This was announced by the Election Commission Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd. Yusof at a packed media conference at the Hilton Hotel, Kuching.The by election is called for following the demise of the state assemblyman Datuk Dublin Unting Ingkot on Feb 24 2009. Datuk Dublin,56, felled into a coma since May 2008. The next waiting game will be the waiting for the revelations of the names of candidates for both the BN and the opposition, to be followed by the campaigning activities and finally the result.
